Introducing YuMAP™

YuMAP is the technology and assessment platform behind Yāna Motion Lab. It captures how you move, measures it biomechanically and turns it into an objective, repeatable record - a Baseline you can compare against for life.

From movement to measurement

YuMAP changes that.

Until now, much of how we move has been assessed through observation, individual tests and measurements taken at isolated points in time.

YuMAP records natural movement with synchronized markerless capture - no markers, sensors or specialized suits - and measures it in three dimensions.

One screen, three steps

See it. Measure it.
Understand it.

Multiple cameras capture movement simultaneously from different perspectives. YuMAP reconstructs it in three dimensions, measures it across the body, and shows you the result on one screen.

What YuMAP can quantify

Measured across the body.

Instead of relying only on what can be seen, YuMAP provides objective measurements that can be recorded, compared and tracked.

Theia Markerless
Markerless capture

Built on Theia Markerless, the gold standard in markerless motion capture.

Inside YuMAP, Theia3D - a validated markerless motion-capture model supported by published biomechanical research - is the 3D model that derives measurements from our synchronized video. YuMAP applies those measurements within its own protocols, analytics and longitudinal data environment.

More than a motion capture system

A movement measurement platform.

Capturing movement is only the beginning. The value of YuMAP is what happens after the movement has been captured.

YuMAP turns a moment of movement into a measurable record.

Powered by Yāna

Repeatable.Objective.Accurate.Metrics.

Meaningful measurement requires data that can be reliably measured again. Standardized protocols and objective biomechanical measurement let YuMAP assessments be repeated under consistent conditions - so results can be compared from one assessment to the next.

Measure once and you have information. Measure consistently and you begin to build evidence.

The foundation of Baseline

Know where you started.

A Baseline captures and records how you moved at a specific point in time - what needs attention today, what improves with training or treatment, what changed after injury, and whether you’re back to where you were.

The top of a YuMAP report, dated 8 January 2026, with head and shoulder measurements beside the 3D body
A Baseline is a dated record. Every later assessment is compared with it.

Without an objective Baseline, the question is often

“Do you think you’re back?”

With a Baseline, there is another question available

“How are you moving compared with how you moved before?”

Movement becomes longitudinal data

The real value is what happens next.

A single assessment is information. Every repeat assessment adds another objective point to your movement record - and over time, those points show improvement, emerging change, recovery and readiness.

You can’t meaningfully measure change if you never measured where you started.

The decision is still made by people. YuMAP gives them better movement data to make it with.
From data to decisions

Return-to-Play.
Return-to-Work.
Return-to-Life.

  • An athlete returning to competition.
  • A worker returning to a physically demanding occupation.
  • A patient progressing through rehabilitation.
  • An individual returning to the activities that matter to them.

YuMAP shows what has changed, what has recovered and where differences remain. It does not replace clinical expertise, professional judgment or the individual.

Your movement has a story.
YuMAP gives it data.

Human movement isn’t static. YuMAP measures it - not as a snapshot, but as a record that can grow through a season, a rehabilitation program, a career, and potentially a lifetime.

Capture it. Measure it. Baseline it. Track it. Understand what changed.
