Preventing Injuries Before They Happen

Musculoskeletal injuries (MSI) are the 5th highest economic burden of any group of diseases in Canada. Amazingly, musculoskeletal injury has never had a method for accurately addressing individual movements. At Yāna, we have introduced a new standard for evaluating musculoskeletal health. Many individuals are walking through life with the results of old injuries and have persistent abnormal movement patterns. While these may not currently be an issue, they have the potential to lead to later dysfunction or injury. We believe that it is in the best interest of employers to have employees scanned. Our analysis will allow employers to have employees assessed and correct any existing issues as well as provide a baseline of function that can be used to isolate any future problems.

Is Yāna For My Employees?

Question

Can Yāna Prevent Injuries?
An employee's baseline assessment can be used to determine any musculoskeletal dysfunction that is present at the time of the screening. This information can help determine the potential for injury and drive appropriate exercises and pre-rehab efforts to improve function before an injury occurs.

Question

Will Yāna Help in an Employee's Recovery?
The Yāna Report is incredibly valuable and allows healthcare professionals better understand a patient’s situation, equipping them or you to select the best possible treatments and fast-track the recovery process.

Question

What if they are not seeing improvement in their injury recovery?
Yāna provides an accurate measure of an employee's full body movement and can give valuable insights that their clinician would not previously have access to. However, if their condition requires further testing to help obtain better insights, we can help your therapist/clinician find the right solution.

The Paradigm Shift

The advances in computational and cloud processing and motion capture technology have created a ‘Paradigm Shift’ in the tracking, set-up and measurement of musculoskeletal health and range of motion. In as little as 30 minutes you will have an objective, accurate and comprehensive look at your client’s complete movement pattern. This technology was simply not possible before and is more accurate and reproducible than techniques presently used. We like to think about markerless motion capture like a doctor performing a CT scan; while they can examine a patient with their hands, a CT scan gives far more information about their patient’s body and is now a gold standard evaluation tool for healthcare professionals around the globe. Yāna’s 3D markerless motion capture techniques and proprietary reporting protocols represent the same leap in information gathering and will soon be the new gold standard in musculoskeletal assessment.

Yāna’s Unique Assessment System

Our assessment is appropriate and useful for individuals searching for a way to establish baseline movements, therefore making it easier to prevent and identify future issues. Knowing the status of an employee’s musculoskeletal system is just as important as them knowing their blood pressure or cholesterol, and Yāna has the only comprehensive, fast, accurate and proven tool available.
