The Paradigm Shift

The advances in computational and cloud processing and motion capture technology have created a ‘Paradigm Shift’ in the tracking, set-up and measurement of musculoskeletal health and range of motion. In as little as 30 minutes you will have an objective, accurate and comprehensive look at your client’s complete movement pattern. This technology was simply not possible before and is more accurate and reproducible than techniques presently used. Yāna Makes A Difference

I didn't know what to expect coming to Yana Motion Lab for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised on how detailed and objective it was. I wish I had access to an assessment tool like this when I was actively training and competing for the Olympics. Nowadays, I plan to use Yana to ensure health and freedom of movement for a lifetime to come, as I have many lingering injuries and imbalances from my 19 years in cycling.

Had an assessment done by Chris M. at Yāna. All movements were practical and easy to complete. Believe it or not, the one I had the hardest time with was trying to balance myself on 1 foot with my eyes closed (kept losing balance and jumping all over the place). Once all movements were completed my results were ready immediately. The amount of detail in the Functional Motion Analysis is crazy. The biggest insight I had was from my squat.

The test showed me that when I performed a squat I was only engaging my outer leg muscles. I did a squat immediately after and to my surprise I could feel my outer leg muscles doing exactly what Chris was describing...this whole time I was doing my squats wrong! I have no idea how this technology works but it's some cool futuristic stuff. Thanks for the help guys.

As a practitioner, I would highly recommend referring to Yāna; it gives you a great perspective of something the human eye can miss. 1 example is I had a patient with a hip injury, the scan of her movement picked up she was loading going down equally on both feet but on the way up of her squat - loading all her weight on 1 foot and not on the other. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and if I have any questions about my client's reports,

they are quick to respond with any answers I am looking for! The Report gives you a quick overview of the problem areas and a section for practitioners and patients which I find really helpful! I would recommend this to any people looking to have a better understanding of their movements and limitations and definitely to any clinicians looking for a more in-depth look into their patient's movements and limitations.

As both an Ironman triathlete and personal trainer, I am aware of limitations in my range of motion. When I heard about the Yāna Motion assessment, I was curious to see what it would show. Overall the assessment highlighted the limitations I expected but there were a few surprises. Despite my tweaky left shoulder, I appear to have a full range of motion - yeah! My right knee, however, showed a greater limitation than I expected.

I will now take my Yāna report to my chiropractor and physiotherapist for their advice. Along with their guidance, I can specifically target my strength and mobility/flexibility training in order to improve my range of motion and ultimately move better. The beauty of the Yāna Motion assessment is the efficiency with which the whole body can be examined. The investment in my motion health is certainly worth the cost especially as an aging, yet optimistic, athlete! I feel as if I have added another piece to the puzzle on my journey to improved motion.

I work as a physiotherapist dealing with a lot of musculoskeletal injuries. I've just been introduced to Yana's movement analysis and I find the information the report provides has helped to guide the way I structure my patient's rehabilitation plan. For example, having a reliable and reproducible measurement of ankle motion, I am able to track if both the interventions I provide as well as the exercises I prescribe are having both a clinical and more importantly meaning change for the patient. I look forward to using this product more in the future.

I came in for a screening with Yana Motion Lab last week. As a Movement Coach specializing in joint range of motion I was excited to try the Yana system to recommend to my clients. The booking and sign in process were smooth and efficient. The movements I was asked to do by Jessica were easy to understand and fun to do. I received my report sooner than expected and the results were easy to understand and well presented. I would recommend Yana to anyone who needs a baseline of their range of motion and to track changes while working with a practitioner. The objective results are valuable to practitioners who want to track their clients' rehab progress.

I had a great experience with Yana. Sydney did a great job of walking me through the process. As someone in my late 40's I was keenly interested to see what my range of motion looks like these days. The detailed report is very interesting and I appreciate that it provides explanations to the everyday person, as well as a clinical explanation. This level of scientific measurement is very helpful to me. Highly recommended to anyone who has undergone an injury, as a tool to objectively measure the recovery process.

Yana Motion creates a comprehensive "scan" of your body in motion and gives a thorough assessment of strengths and weaknesses within the muscular system. As a strength coach, it is a helpful tool to further assess individuals and to improve individualized strength programs. Having an option for injured clients to have a full scan of the body and take this back to their preferred practitioners is great. Yana has a professional team that makes the process comfortable and simple.

I found the process at Yana very interesting and I am extremely excited to follow up to see how things change now that I know where my body's deficiencies are. I wish I had done this test before to have a baseline on my movement and range of motion. I am now using their assessment to aid in my treatment after a serious car accident and I think the insights my physio and RMT got from the report were invaluable in planning my treatment. The staff were extremely kind and very supportive throughout the assessment and allowed multiple tries so I could really give my best effort. I would highly recommend Yana to any athlete or person looking to better understand their body or anyone recovering from a crash or accident. Very impressed with my assessment at Yana Motion Lab today. Noah L was great to work with and made the experience enjoyable and easy to follow. He is obviously very knowledgeable and competent in his area of expertise. I was looking for a second opinion regarding my sports med treatment and physio and Yana Motion Lab assessed my issues equally as accurately. I now have a detailed, comprehensive plan and treatment to follow to get me back up and running. Highly recommend for treatment but also for preventative measures.
